Ultimately, it was decided that even our best car could not be trusted to make this run. Thankfully Nanna came to the rescue and loaned us her car - and we are all very grateful.
We set out and had a great trip there, thanks to Megan's great riding treasures that that kept everyone occupied even without a DVD player.
We arrived at this great cabin and discovered that our car (which we almost brought) would have never been able to traverse the steep, steep grade up the driveway to get to this cabin.
Everyone made themselves right at home. They quickly got into everything.
We discovered nature
Explored this great house
Found and added to a tee pee
Found an apple tree - they weren't quite ready
Hung out on the porch
Mom found her favorite place for the next few days
After dinner we made our way to Boone to see what we could find
We found cookies!
Then back home - Not bad at all for a great first day.
