Downward Spiral at Shamu's House

We went to SeaWorld twice on this trip. Both times for half days. We went on this day because last year Emily Grace got a Dolphin tour for her birthday - only problem is that there was no Dolphin. So we wanted Emily Grace to get close to the Dolphin and get to touch them. She did get to do so and the reason there are no photos is because SeaWorld would not allow them in hopes that you would purchase their photos.

This is bad juju from a company in in tailspin. We had not been here in 3 years and the decline of the park was evident everywhere you looked and it was amazing how even the spirit and professionalism of the employees was notably in decline. Eveything needed cleaning, painting, or replacing. This park will take many millions to recover and there appears to be no money to be had. When Joel Manby resigned as CEO after only 3 years at the helm the writing was on the wall but to see it first hand was quite another sad reality. In a day where every single Disney and Universal park is under vast construction and expansion initiatives there is little time and tolerance for a park with no vision.

With all of that said ... we still had a good time.

While Olivia and Emily Grace were involved in the Dolphin experience this girl and I rode the Mako and the Kraken 2 times. Addison actually rode it 3 times.
