Duels

This morning was full of a lot of hanging out and laying around.  This girl was miserable because nobody would play with her. I (also the youngest) remember those days so well so we went for a walk together.

Much for the first time there is a lot of separate vacation activities going on.  It is mostly budgetary because we would normally do everything that everyone wants to do together - but this year we are dividing so that everyone gets to do the one thing that they want to do the most. Also there is an age gap in our family so sometimes it just works out best.

So this morning the big girls wanted to go shopping at Market Common.  Emily Grace and myself went across the way to a play ground.

We made the big hike

Chased geese

Played music

Played everything

Meanwhile the shopping continued

We we went swinging

Found a friend

Watched boys play baseball on Astro Turf

And we met back up with these girls in time for ice cream.

We came home for a little rest and Emily Grace had chosen to see "One - the show" with mom.  She got all dolled up and couldn't wait to see it.  I took Olivia and Addison to do yet more shopping at Broadway at the Beach.

Shopping is not necessarily my thing but I love these girls and I always love spending time with them. They make me proud to their dad.  They shopped all night and ended up not buying anything but all of their efforts went to shopping for gifts for each other and for Hank.  Ultimately the only thing they ended up doing with their money was giving a two dollar tip to the street performer because they thought her voice was amazing.  I think they are amazing.

We all got back together and swapped stories about our separate experiences.  We worked hard to go to sleep quickly after we got home and fell asleep with vacation smiles on our faces.
