Mercer Me (Busch Gardens Edition)

You don't have to read this blog very much before you realize that Williamsburg, VA and Myrtle Beach, SC are in here a lot.  It is because they are within car shot for a weekend (or even a single day) trip.

We hold season's passes at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.  This year they invited us to invite a family to come with us for free.  We invited the Mercer's.  They are long-time friends of ours who have been a source of comfort and authentic community for me and for my family.  Freddie runs with me quite often, probably at least half of the time.

Their family is a joy and we could not begin to repay their encouragement to us during a difficult time in life and ministry.  It was a joy to spend the day with them.

This is the gang.  Left to right: Levi, Emily Grace (Bottom), Vivian, Olivia, and Addison

This is Freddie and Rebecca about to load on the Loch Ness Monster

Olivia gets a charge right out of the gate with the measurements.  This is a green band - It means that she is tall enough to ride any ride in the park.  She was very proud of it!

These girls seem mighty happy to be in so much trouble

One of the fun things about being at Busch Gardens with these kids is that they had never been to a park like this - it made all of us feel like we were experiencing it for the first time ourselves. - This is Levi and Olivia waiting to board Loch Ness.

This is Levi and Rebecca marking the occasion after Levi's first ride on such a rollercoaster.  For Levi it seemed that it was not to mark the accomplishment but simply that he survived and now stood firmly on solid ground.

We had a great time on this day.  It was a one day trip so it was long but still fun. It is great to enjoy both of these families.  God Bless Authentic Community!
