Rain Can't Dampen Our Vacation

Today we began with a full out rain. We were above the clouds but obviously some were above us as well.

We started the day slowly (vacation like).

We played some games

Then we went to Ruby Falls, which fortunately was under ground, nearly 300 feet below the storms.

Down underground it is dark and all I had was an iPhone but I will do my best

The girls got a chance to touch a stalagmite.

After a half mile underground hike ...

We arrived at Ruby Falls

Home for lunch and a little rest and then to the Tennessee Aquarium

We began with a touch tank with Rays and sharks (too little to have teeth).

Butterfly Garden

Pinguins

Turtles

An "inside the tank" view of the live snow crab.

Another touch tank at this beautiful and well done aquarium. These spaces are all inside and very "Disney-like."

After the Aquarium we went to eat at Cheebuger-Cheebuger and even though we had already had full day the girls were very interest in a climbing club called "Highpoint" that we had passed in downtown Chatanooga  several times.

We decided to check it out and to our surprise they were very kid friendly.

The girls got basic instructions.

Then they went at it:

These girls constantly impress me.  Each of these walls is 25 feet or better and they never hesitated to go to the top.

We were there until they closed because no one wanted to leave this place.  What a full day. What an awesome day!
