Today we went to a thermal spa. The spa had many pools that went up the mountain towards the volcano. This particular volcano is active and had an eruption 20 years ago that killed thousands of people in this area. The higher up the mountain you go - the hotter the pools are.
We no sooner got to the park and went down some of the slides and relaxed for a few minutes that it was time to start to dry off for our lunch reservations.
The food was authentic Costa Rican fare. To me - it was just ok dog ...

This is a busy spa - it is very well known but it is also huge. It never felt crowded. I was hanging out looking at my phone and the girls had gone to another part of the spa. I looked up and realized I was alone at this pool - it was nice.
The volcano is visible from anywhere in this region but this was the first time since our arrival that we could see the summit and it only lasted for a few minutes. Normally, it is in the clouds.
