Costa Rica - Moving

We made the biggest move of our time in Costa Rica (4 Hours) from San Jose to Tamarindo. Along the way we needed a break so we stopped to eat. The place didn't look like much but the view turned out to be great.

Unfortunately, as good as the view and atmosphere was - the food was equally bad. This is not just me saying this - no one had a great meal but you win some and you lose some.

You can see that by the time we stopped for lunch we were in the rain. Megan did a great job driving but about 1 hour from Tamarindo a severe storm hit. We crossed several places where the road was washed out. Fortunately, we followed a bus and several vehicles which showed us the routes through the water that were safe for them - and us. Megan and I theorized that traffic probably ceased to be able to traverse that area shortly after we all got through. As we climbed in elevation along the way, water ceased to be as much of a problem and the rain began to lighten to regular rain.

With much determination we arrived at our last home for this trip. Again, it was very different from the other two but it feels good to be here. We look forward to going out to the beach and to the town tomorrow to get the lay of the land.
