Costa Rica - Museum

Having consulted many sources we found a few things to do around San Jose. We began at the San Jose museum of art.

Olivia made me take a picture of this painting because it has Gene Simmons in the bottom of it and he was from my day

Next was The National Museum of Costa Rica. This building was originally built by a strongman regime that once ruled Costa Rica. Now it is a museum with a butterfly garden

The is  a pre-Columbian table

A view of San Jose from the museum

I swam with these two beauties when we got back to the condo. With little left to do in San Jose and having grown tired of the big city - we decided to leave tomorrow and head to the Pacific beaches of Tamarindo.

I took these pictures from inside of our condo complex. It is just an example of how security is no joke

This fence and/or gates, all them taller than 10 feet, and the fence topped with razor wire surrounds the entire complex. There is no window in San Jose without bars on it and few properties, including homes that are not protected with fence and razor wire. Not sure if this is culture or justified by crime - I suspect the latter.
