Birthday at a Magic Kingdom

For some reason it seems that my birthday usually falls on vacation. This is just fine with me because I can not think of a better way to spend my time than experiencing things with my family.

The girls first encounter a street show.

It might seem to you that our older girls are to old for a stroller and you are probably right, but keep in mind that the average person walks 11 miles during a day at Disney and that is pretty far for our girls.  That is not the main reason that we like strollers.  The main reason can be summed up in one word: Containment.  As long as you can feel their weight in front of you in the stroller, you know where they are and when you are in a crowd of tens of thousands of people - it is good to know where they are.

Hi ho - hi ho its off to ride stuff we go

We began the day with the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.  Emily had been looking forward to this ride from the beginning of this trip.

As always, the ride put us out in a store where we could shop.  And shop we did.

Turns out this girls shopping thing is an international phenomenon.

Emily photobombed these three girls on the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride

After more rides we made our way back home for rest.  These are monorail photos

For dinner, because it was my birthday, we ate at Ohana at the Polynesian Resort

Our view of the lake (now de-gatered) with Cinderella's Castle in the background.

Emily and Addison played the sweep the coconut game

We did more rides until we finally called it a night.

Everyone was very very tired after a great day!
