What a Blessing!

This afternoon the weather never really did settle down.  We planned to go to SeaWorld this evening but found that they were only open until 8:30.  Therefore, we hung out at the house.  Megan went shopping and the girls and I layed around.

I am very glad that we came for two weeks.  Times like this are lot easier to come by when you don't feel that you are on a schedule to maximize your park experiences.  No one is complaining - we are happy to lay around and not do anything in particular on this night.

It means that we are fully detached from our normal pressures.  We are on vacation.  It means a lot to me and to my family.  Yes, we will return to responsibilities and we can not escape the conditions of our world and the things that make us sad, mad, or afraid (at least until we learn again to give it over to God) but for now we are together.  We are a family - this year we are all relatively healthy and we are all here and we want to wallow in it for just a couple of weeks.

So, we are thankful to God that he has allowed us this time to grow closer as a family, experience new things together, and clear our lives to focus on Him and each other.  What a blessing!
