Just before we went to New York I had the privilege of going with Olivia and Mrs. Pennington's first grade class to Fort Macon.
First we listened to a lecture about turtles. Olivia answer the question about why Green Sea Turtles were green on the inside. The answer is that they eat a lot of green sea weed.
Next we learned about civil war guns and saw a demonstration.
Then lunch and some touring with the class.
Then the class left and we toured a little more on our own.
A souvenir ( a civil war rag doll ) and then we were off.
I love my girls. I love Olivia. Any day with her is a special day.
