Making Friends & Memories

Megan's parents were leaving today so they took some time this morning to kick around together - shopping mostly I think. So I hung out around the cottage for a while with the girls and we made our way to Build-A-Bear Workshop.

Sometimes as a dad things just don't go your way. Build-A-Bear Workshop is a case in point. We have so many stuffed animals in our house that it is, lets just say, an embarrassment of riches. Still it remains among the highest priorities for little girls on vacation. It is a complete scam driven by 6 year old girl emotion.

With all of that said, I really love my girls and so their joy is my joy. All of the above stated reservation must be buried deep so that I too can appreciate the new kitty, doggie, and Teddy Bear.

I got things rolling and Megan and her parents joined in.

After we got out of Build-A-Bear we had lunch with Nana & Pop Pop at Joe's Crab Shack.

A guy came around making ballon animals.

The employees at Joe's stop every few minutes to sing and dance. The manager joined in. From a leadership perspective, so much is right about all of this that I can't begin to talk about it here.

Joe's has its own play ground.

Olivia makes even Joe smile.

Back to naps and the pool and Pop Pop and Nana said goodbye. After dinner we made our way to beach again.

And back to the pool.

A cool breeze set in a marked the end to another great vacation day.
